The headquarters building for the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, whose centers and libraries operate throughout Iran, will be located along the northernmost boundary of Farahzad, the new urban sector in west of Tehran. The complex includes six office towers approached through linking courtyards, a 700-seat auditorium which functions in conjunction with recording and film animation studios, extensive book storage facilities and subterranean parking. The deep valley on the site has been utilized to avoid the sense of a tall, overpowering structure, and emphasis has been placed on pedestrian movement through the arrangement of plazas and courtyards.
